• M.C.T. earpieces are great for high frequency losses and other losses not greater than 60db at 1kHz.
• All but eliminates the "voice in the barrel" (occlusion effect) problem.
• Requires less venting, thereby reducing the risk of acoustic feedback.
• Reduces contact with the walls of the ear canal for increased comfort.
• If canal retention and/or patient dexterity are not a problem most M.C.T.'s will be made as a canal only, producing a more cosmetically appealing earpiece.

 The canal length in M.C.T. impressions must be 15mm to 20mm.
