The Janssen earpiece leaves the canal and entrance unobstructed. The deeper the
sound outlet, the greater the usable gain. An increase of 8 to 10 db in gain before feedback can be obtained as the sound
outlet is moved from the entrance to the canal inward 14 to 16 mm. The canal length and bore should be specified. This mold
is available in Lucite.
